I believe in nurturing your well-being from the inside out.
I'm delighted you've taken the time to explore my page.
My journey in social work began in with obtaining a Master's Degree in Clinical Social Work from the University of St. Thomas and St. Catherine University, which has provided me with a strong foundation for my practice. Through my education, I gained a deep understanding of social work theories, human behavior, and therapeutic interventions, which I integrate into my work.
I'm a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) through the Minnesota Board of Social Work. This licensure signifies that I have met rigorous educational and experiential requirements and adhere to the highest standards of practice in the field of social work.
I am privileged to hold board approval to provide clinical licensure supervision for both Licensed Graduate Social Workers (LGSW) and Licensed Professional Counselors (LPC/LPCC). My experience in the field allows me to offer valuable guidance and support as you navigate the path to full licensure. I am passionate about helping emerging professionals develop their clinical skills, ethical decision-making, and professional identity.
My professional experience has been largely dedicated to working with young children, adolescents, and their families. This specialization has given me a deep understanding of the unique challenges and strengths within this population. I am particularly interested in helping children and families who have experienced trauma, and I have extensive experience working with issues such as anxiety, depression, attachment difficulties, and behavioral problems.
My therapeutic toolbox includes evidence-based practices such as Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TFCBT), Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI). I also incorporate somatic approaches like Somatic Experiencing Therapy and Brainspotting, recognizing the mind-body connection in healing. I believe in using a holistic approach to therapy, and I tailor my interventions to meet the specific needs of each client.
My supervision style is integrative, meaning I draw from various techniques and approaches to tailor my support to your individual needs. I believe that supervision should be a collaborative process that fosters growth and development. I strive to create a safe and supportive environment where supervisees feel comfortable exploring their clinical work, personal experiences, and professional goals. I am committed to providing feedback that is both constructive and encouraging, and I am passionate about helping supervisees reach their full potential as clinicians.
Brittany gave me the knowledge to not only be prepared but to also pass my licensure exam.
